Every new item you get has to be said in the language you're learning before you can keep it. Your microphone listens, scores your pronunciation, and the item is yours. Miss the timer and it's gone.

How it works
- Choose a languageThe first time you join a world, the game asks what you want to learn, then lets you pick your microphone.
- Pick something upA panel shows the item's name in that language, how it's read, and what it means in yours.
- Say itReach the pass score (75% by default) and it's unlocked. Run out of time and the item is deleted, dropped, or kept, your choice.
Sentences, not just words
Craft a pickaxe, beat a zombie, walk into the Nether, and the game asks you to say a short sentence about it. Right answers give XP.
Runs on your PC
Speech recognition works offline. The model for your language downloads once (30 to 55 MB). Your voice is never saved or sent anywhere.
Fair to accents
Two recognizers listen at once and compare letters and sound, so a light accent passes and random noise doesn't.
Reading help
Chinese shows pinyin (木镐 → mù gǎo), Japanese shows furigana and romaji, Korean, Russian and Ukrainian show Latin letters. You can type the reading too.
Pocket Dictionary
Every word you've learned, its translation and your best score, with a Practice button for quick reviews.
No mic? Type it
Press Y and type the answer. Works with modded items too, since names come from the game's own language files.

Installing
- Install the loader (Fabric, Forge or NeoForge) for your Minecraft version.
- Fabric only: also put Fabric API in your mods folder.
- Drop the SayIt .jar into the mods folder and start the game.
- Join a world, choose your language and your microphone. The speech model downloads the first time.
Questions
Is it safe to download from here?
Yes. These are the same files submitted to CurseForge. Each one has its SHA-256 listed above so you can check nothing changed. The jar is about 30 MB because it bundles the offline speech libraries (Vosk and whisper.cpp, both open source).
Why isn't it on CurseForge yet?
It's waiting in CurseForge's review queue. Once it's approved it will be there too. Until then you can get it here.
Does it record or send my voice?
No. Audio stays in memory on your computer and is thrown away right after. Only if you choose the optional Groq engine with your own key are short clips sent to Groq.
Does it work in multiplayer?
Yes. Install it on the server and on each player's game. Players without the mod are never asked anything.
Which systems are supported?
Offline speech runs on Windows x64, Linux x64 and macOS. On other systems you can still use Groq or typing.
